How to Access Your Annual Summary Feature for PS4 and PS5

The PlayStation Wrap-Up feature is finally here, even if it’s a few weeks behind you might expect. By the end of 2021, it looks like we’ve been inundated with these annual summary features.

The first is Spotify Wrapped, which explores your listening habits and draws conclusions about your musical preferences, before allowing you to share the results online.

Soon after, Reddit rolls out its own annual recap (which is surprisingly heavy on sleeve beekeeping), Google announces the year’s top trends, Snapchat throws out an inaccurate anniversary for 2021 and has an unofficial Top 9 Instagram app.

Now that it’s a few weeks into 2022, you can assume the annual wrap-up season is well and truly over. Indeed, the Instagram feature (which launched around New Year’s Eve) seems to have put an end to it.

However, we have one person who comes last, which is Sony. The console maker just released its PlayStation closing report.

As you’d expect, this summarizes your gaming activity from 2021. It has details on things like how much time you’ve spent on PS4 or PS5, which titles you’ve played the most, and totals. plus how many trophies have you won.

These insights are then aggregated into social media-friendly infographics, which you can share on sites like Facebook or Twitter. For an example of what this looks like, see below:

In addition, PlayStation Wrap-up also gives you a community breakdown of what gamers have done globally. For example, you can see combined statistics about what audiences have achieved in PlayStation exclusives such as Profit and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.

How to Get Your Own PlayStation Recordings

In theory, accessing our PlayStation Wrap-Up should be simple, but it’s nowhere near the PlayStation console. As a result, you won’t be able to access it through the control panel and will need to use a web browser instead.

All you need to do is visit the dedicated website and then sign in to your PlayStation Network (PSN) account.

For this, you must enter the email address associated with your profile, as well as your password. If you don’t remember these credentials, click the “Having trouble signing in?” button? link.

Once you’ve signed in to your PSN account, you may need to wait a few seconds for the page to load. After doing so, you will immediately be presented with your personal summary feature.

What about Mouse and Cheese Game?

As we mentioned above, it’s theoretically simple to get PlayStation Wrap-Up.

However, while there’s a good chance you’ve logged in without any issues, some users have struggled. This is because a particularly demanding, fully automated Public Test to Tell Computers and People (CAPTCHA) you may have to meet.

Instead of just detecting traffic cones, entering a verification code, or manually entering a certain word, this quiz gives you a series of mazes.

Your job is to then figure out which of these is unsolvable, by seeing if the cartoon mouse can reach a block of cheese elsewhere in the maze. Once you identify the unlucky rodent mentioned, you have to click on that maze and submit your answer.

While that sounds easy, you will be asked to do this over and over again, with some users reporting that they gave up after 40 attempts.

Redditor u/Dr_Bam even joked that the mouse and cheese game will now be one of their most played titles of the year after trying to beat this overwhelming CAPTCHA test.

Meanwhile, in the comments on the official PlayStation Blog post, Dharmamitra points out that the amount of puzzles you have to solve “doesn’t sound reasonable” and deezyreturns writes that it’s “the worst customer experience ever.” that I used to have. [PlayStation]”.

On a more serious note, others have complained that the test is not accessible to the visually impaired (especially as the maze gets harder and smaller as the test goes on), or for those who just have difficulty with puzzles.

In terms of what you can do with the mouse and cheese puzzle, you can satisfy this CAPTCHA, but if you make a mistake even once you will fail. Alternatively, you can try backing out of the whole process and trying again, as there’s a chance you’ll get a test that’s easier to pass.

For example, there is one that requires you to simply click on a specified image and then enter a verification code.

Newsweek reached out to Sony for comment on this CAPTCHA test and why it is so demanding. At the time of publication, there was no response.
